What is College Coaching
-
College coaching is a supportive partnership designed to help college students build confidence, develop essential skills, and work toward graduation with clarity and purpose. Through one-on-one sessions, I help students navigate their unique challenges while promoting self-awareness, skill-building, and goal achievement. My coaching draws on evidence-based tools and approaches that enhance the college experience as a whole.
Each session is tailored to the student’s needs and may include academic and executive function support, mentorship, stress management, using campus resources, addressing challenges, setting goals, and building the skills needed to thrive in college life.

Academic and executive functioning skills are the mental processes used to plan, organize, manage time, prioritize, and stay focused. They help turn intentions into actions—moving from knowing what to do, to actually doing it. Coaching helps build these skills by providing personalized strategies, consistent accountability, and practical tools tailored to each student’s needs. Through guided practice, reflection, and support, coaching enables students to develop better planning habits, improve time management, stay focused on goals, and adapt to challenges. This ongoing support encourages confidence, independence, and resilience—essential for success not only in college but in all areas of life.

College coaching helps students grow academically and personally by reducing overwhelm, supporting emotional well-being, and turning daily struggles into lasting success. Whether managing independence, adjusting to less structure, or balancing social and academic demands, coaching provides the support and strategies needed to build sustainable habits and foster growth that lasts beyond college. For students with learning differences, neurodivergence, trauma, or athletic commitments, this guidance can be especially impactful.
